ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A house fire in an empty house was extinguished quickly by St. Johns County Fire Rescue Saturday afternoon resulting in no injuries.

Fire Rescue responded to the residential structure fire in the 400 block of Lake Monroe Place in northwest St. Johns County around noon, according to SJCFR's Facebook page.

Crews arrived on scene and found an unoccupied two story home with light smoke visible throughout the interior.

Firefighters located and extinguished the fire rapidly containing further structural damage, according to SJCFR.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by SJCFR.
