JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A sincere thank-you to a distinguished group of Jacksonville residents: the 1953 graduating class of Stanton High School. The group decided not to spend money on themselves this Christmas, but instead to donate to The Apple Project, our effort to build a free dental clinic.
Group members presented a check for $700 to The Apple Project.
That generous donation turns into $1,400 because the Weaver Foundation is matching donations.
Members of the Stanton Class say they're blessed to be able to give.
The goal is to break ground in early 2014 for the new clinic, which will serve thousands of folks who can't afford a dentist.
