JACKSONVILLE, FLa. -- An arrest has been made in the murder of a Metro PCS clerk on North Main Street from July 20.

The shooting death of 20-year-old Shelby Farrah is just one of a string of violent crimes from this past weekend that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating.

Robin Lezcano is working through the pain and trying to stay strong after finding her younger sister's body in her driveway Friday morning.

"I just think about her being alone in those last moments and maybe if I had been there to hold her or just tell her I'm here," said Robin Lezcano, the sister of Amber Bass.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office the 22-year-old Amber Bass was shot outside her sister's home in the 8400 block of Springtree Road around early Friday morning. Police have not identified any suspects, nor commented about a possible motive in the killing.

"He just shot her, took her purse and ran off," said Manuel Lezcano, brother-in-law to Amber Bass.

JSO responded to three violent crimes over the weekend -- the first being Amber Bass around 2 a.m. Friday morning.

Five hours later, officers were called to a Motel 6 on the 8200 block of Dix Ellis Trail for a fire and found three victims, including two women ,who had been tired up, sexually assaulted with one suffering from a gun shot wound.

Then Saturday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. Shelby Farah was found dead after an apparent robbery at the Metro PCS on North Main St.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, it has investigated 44 murders from January 1 to July 22 of this year, that's one less compared to this time last year.

To get the statewide picture we pulled the 2012 numbers from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. According to its report, Duval County had 76 murders, 374 forcible rapes with a crime rate of 5,149.4 per 100,000 people.

Miami-Dade had 218 murders, 638 forcible rapes with a crime rate of 5,488.1 per 100,000.
