JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the second year in a row, portions ofHuguenot Park were closed to visitors on Memorial Day.

According to officials at Huguenot Park, they were at maximum occupancy by 10:00 a.m. Monday, which was exaggeratedby the incoming tide scheduled to be at the highest point at 10:50 a.m.

The park started allowing visitors back onto the grounds two hours after high tide, which was a little before 1:00 p.m.

The closure is caused at least four miles of traffic delays on nearby access roads.
