JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was shot twice in the stomach after an apparent altercation at a local gas station Saturday afternoon.

The shooting took place around 1 p.m. at the Citgo gas station near the corner of Lenox Avenue and Ellis Rd., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO is searching for four to six suspects believed to have been involvedin the shooting.

The suspects fled the scene on foot according to JSO.

The victim, a man in his 20's, was taken to a local hospital following the incident.

According to JSO, no motive has been determined and the weapon was not recovered.

The investigation is ongoing.
