JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 26-year-old man was shot and killed on 21st Street and Boulevard Street in Jacksonville Saturday evening.

According to Sergeant Shawn Coarsey, witnesses say multiple shots were fired after an altercation between the victim and the suspect around 5:30 p.m.Upon arriving officers found a woman giving the victim CPR. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.

"Witnesses, we have some conflicting stories about exactly where it happened, but they are all saying there was some type of argument or altercation, shots were fired. Suspect is described as a black male, he fled on foot," says Sgt. Shawn Coarsey, with the JSO Homicide unit.

JSO is still searching for the suspect. The victim and suspect have not been identified.
