ATLANTA – Ten students were taken to the hospital for treatment after a driver used pepper spray to break up a fight on a school bus.
According to Kimberly Willis Green of Atlanta Public Schools, the incident happened around 3:45 p.m. at Maynard Jackson High School.
As the assistant principal was breaking up a fight between students, the bus driver used pepper spray, Green said.
The students were taken by APS bus to a hospital for treatment.
All of the parents have been notified.
According to Green, the bus driver is new and the matter is being referred to human resources for further investigation.
