JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's Wednesday - time for our Teacher of the Week feature This week we are spotlighting Mrs. Teresa Rogers at Beaches Chapel School.

She has been teaching the third grade more than 20 years. She says she loves seeing the children grow over the years and gets excited when she runs into older former students who still remember her. Her advice for other teachers is to always remember students, no matter the age, need encouragement and a teacher that believes in them.

"We have a lot of kids that just need to be made to feel valuable, like they are worth something, that there is a plan for their life. Sometimes the kids get a little lost and we need to let them know God has a plan for their life and they are valuable and worth something," tells Mrs. Rogers.

One of the parents dropping off her son told FCN, Mrs. Rogers kindness and encouragement changed her son's life. After this year Mrs. Rogers is retiring and says she will use the time to spend with her family and grandchildren. So a big thank you and congratulations to Mrs. Teresa Rogers at Beaches Chapel School for being our Teacher of the Week.
