KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. - Student of the Week spotlights Elin Cornett at Keystone Heights High School. She is a Junior with a 3.7 GPA.

Cornett loves the culinary program and hopes to one day become a professional chef. In addition to keeping up her grades, Cornett also completed over 300 hours of community service last summer at the North Florida Christian Service Camp.

"It is nice to see the response you get and how happy they are that you would do something so simple for them. They take it as something so big and it is something so small that you feel like you didn't really do much, but it helped a lot," Cornett said.

Cornett says volunteering not only makes you feel good, but it also can help on scholarship and college applications. She hopes to attend Daytona State College or the Art Institute to study the culinary arts. A big congratulations to Elin Cornett at Keystone Heights High School for being our Student of the Week!
