ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Two women are behind bars after allegedly conducting a scheme to take an 85-year-old woman's wallet.

Kesha Chian Adkins, 31, reportedly knocked an 85-year-old woman down in the parking lot of the Ponce de Leon Mall on Wednesday, took her wallet and fled in a waiting car, according to a release from St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.

Adkins and the vehicle she fled in, reportedly driven by Adriana Michelle Crow, 27, were identified by a citizen at the Hess station at State Road 207 and Interstate 95.

Crow and Adkins were taken into custody after Adkins was positively identified by the victim, Kelshaw said.

Adkins is charged with petit theft, battery on a person over 65 and robbery by sudden snatching. Crow is charged with driving on a suspended license, being an accessory to petit theft, battery on a person over 65 and robbery by sudden snatching.

Bond was set Thursday morning at at $11,500 for Adkins and $9,500 for Crow.
