CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office said a tip from the public led to the arrest of two suspects accused of robbing two Wal-Mart stores.
On January 14 Dennis Holcomb, 31, and 40-year-old Michael Robinson allegedly stole three remote control helicopters from a Wal-Mart in Fleming Island.
After attempting to leave the store through the garden department, the suspects were approached by a loss prevention officer in reference to the stolen merchandise.
Once the loss prevention officer identified himself, he was allegedly pushed by Robinson who also pulled out a pistol, according to a release from the CCSO. The loss prevention officer retreated and informed everyone that the suspect had a gun.
Both suspects fled the Wal-Mart in a gold four-door sedan.
On January 29, the same suspects allegedly stole five items valued at $54.73 from the Wal-Mart in Orange Park. Holcomb and Robinson fled the scene and were later found near the intersection of Parkwood and Blanding Blvd.
The suspects were arrested for shoplifting and transported to Clay County Jail.
