JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A day of drinking on the Southside took a violent turn Saturday night when a suspect stormed inside their neighbor's home and opened fire, police said.
A report of shots fired about 11 p.m. brought police to the 2300 block of Johnson Avenue. That's where officers arrested a person accused of home invasion after an argument between them and the victim ended in gunshots, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The victim told investigators the two had been arguing when the suspect left the home, came back with a gun and started shooting, police said. Nobody was injured.
Police have not identified the suspect they have in custody. It's not yet clear what charges will be filed.
