JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An 18-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police officer Monday.

While police were conducting an investigation in the 1100 block of E. 11th Street, Marshall Jamal Walker pointed a FIE Titan II 380 semi-automatic pistol at one of the officers.

Police say the officer fired one time at Walker. Walker then threw up his arms and threw the weapon over a fence.

According to JSO, the suspect was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered.
