CLERMONT, Fla. — A little black book leads police to a horrific murder plot, and now a middle school student is undergoing a mental evaluation.
WESH reports, last week, a teacher alerted a school officer that a student at Clermont's East Ridge Middle School had a knife in his pocket and a little black book that had a map of the school.
The student allegedly told other students and investigators that the X marks he drew on the map indicated places where he was going to kill school officials and teachers.
The list included two teachers in the math and history buildings, a teacher in the science building and a drama teacher. He also indicated he was "going to go to the office and kill everyone there," the police report said.
According to the report, the boy indicated in the book that when he was done with the killing rampage, he'd kill himself in the cafeteria in front of the rest of the students.
Officials said the student had recently been suspended from school for 10 days and the school was in the process of "alternately placing" him.
Police went to his home and searched his bedroom, but no weapons were found. He is undergoing a mental health evaluation and has not been charged with any crime.
