ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A suspect wanted for a March 20 armed robbery was arrested Friday, according the the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Monday.
Joshua Christopher Sonnefeldt, 22, allegedly robbed a Dollar General located in the 1900 block of A1A South.
SJSO reported that Sonnefeldt approached a 19-year-old female clerk with a knife and demanded money from the register.
An undisclosed amount of cash was placed into a store shopping bag and Sonnefeldt walked out the front door.
According to SJSO, within days of the information being posted on social media, a confidential informant contacted detectives and confirmed Sonnefeldt's identity.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Service, Sonnefeldt was arrested without incident by the SJSO.
Sonnefeldt is currently in the St. Johns County Detention Facility with a bond amount of $25,000.
