JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 20-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison for the 2012 Christmas Eve murder of Harold Lee Woodward, III Wednesday afternoon.

George Williams, IV does not have the option for parole. He was also sentenced to 35 years in prison for a count of armed burglary. Both sentences will be served concurrently.

Williams broke into and stole items from Woodward's Savannah Oaks apartment. He then beat and shot the victim multiple times before running from the scene.

Williams was later arrested when investigators identified him by finding his fingerprints in the victim's blood.
