PALATKA, Fla. -- A robbery suspect, who held up a gas station with his face covered and armed with a gun, is wanted by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

The unidentified suspect was caught on surveillance video entering the Kangaroo gas station at Highway 19 and Silver Lake Drive in Palatka armed with a handgun early Tuesday morning. The suspect demanded money and was able to get away with $75 from the cash register and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a male, about 5-feet-6 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds, according to a release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was dressed entirely in black, with a white shirt wrapped around his face.
