UNION COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were arrested in multi-agency drug bust Wednesday afternoon in Union County.
Alachua County men, 34-year-old Travis Lamar Norris, "Trap," and 57-year-old Alfonso McAllister were arrested after a three-month undercover drug operation. They are charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and using electronic devices to conduct drug transactions and possession of spring assisted weapon.
UCSO, the Bradford County and the Florida Department of Corrections conducted the operation off CR 231, which is south of Lake Butler.
UCSO Brad Whitehead said illegal narcotics including several grams of cocaine and marijuana along with cash and the suspect's rental car were seized in the bust.
According to a UCSO Facebook post, the suspects face additional drug charges from previous undercover operations.
Sheriff Whitehead said, "The narcotics moving in and out of this region are a plague to law enforcement and our citizens and I don't think anyone wants this going on around our children. I want Union County to continue to be a place that will not tolerate drugs."
