JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two men were hospitalized after being shot in the Longbranch neighborhood Monday.

Charles Lamar Pough, 21, and 28-year-old Terrance Alexander Peterson were both shot Monday in the 1600 block of 25th Street West by an unknown suspect, according to a police report form the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The victims were transported to UF Health Jacksonville in serious condition.

Pough and Peterson are listed as acquaintances of the suspect who was described as a male wearing a black tank top and khaki shorts at the time of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
