JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police found an alleged methamphetamine lab inside a Duclay Forest home Monday.

Narcotics detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were conducting a follow-up investigation regarding a possible meth lab in the 5500 block of Vista Verde Street when the lab was discovered, according to JSO Sgt. Shannon Hartley.

Due to the volatile nature of meth labs, a JSO bomb squad also responded to the home to assist investigators. Neighbors were not evacuated and JSO did not specify if anyone was in the home when the alleged meth lab was found.

The investigation is ongoing.
