COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A man and woman suspected in a string of burglaries in High Springs and Fort White were arrested Thursday.

Johnnie Pate, 35, and Brandi Moneyhan, 29, are facing charges of possession of drug equipment, grand theft, trespassing in a structure or conveyance and burglary to an unoccupied dwelling, according to a release from Columbia County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Murray Smith.

A suspicious vehicle, which was later linked to Pate and Moneyhan, was observed by a victim shortly before a burglary on SW Boulder Glen in Fort White in mid-March. Working with the High Springs Police Department, the CCSO was able to identify the vehicle and develop a description of the suspects.

Smith said some of the stolen items were recovered when a search warrant was executed at Pate and Moneyhan's home in the 300 block of SW Rock Way in Fort White.

Pate and Moneyhan are not eligible for bond at this time and additional charges against them are pending.
