ATLANTA -- The FBI is asking people in Metro Atlanta to be on the lookout for an accused killer who is travelling with an 8-year old girl, who is the subject of an Amber Alert.

Khalil Tatum is charged in Maryland for the murder of his wife, Andrea Denise Tatum. He is believed to be travelling with 8-year-old Relisha Tenau Rudd. The FBI said information has been developed that suggests Tatum may be headed to, or through Atlanta.

The FBI just released video from a Holiday Inn Express in Washington, DC that shows Relisha with Tatum. Tatum is described as 5'7" tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has a distinctive tattoo on his upper left arm. Relisha weighs about 70-80 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.

Police believe the girl has been with Tatum since late February. The hotel video is from February 26, 2014.

Relisha lived with her mother and stepfather in a homeless shelter where Tatum worked as a janitor. Relisha's stepfather said Tatum showed them around the shelter. "He was a good man, never got a bad vibe about him or salty taste in my mouth about him," Antonio Wheeler said.

Wheeler and Relisha's mother allowed Tatum to take the girl home and that was the last time they saw her. But they never reported her missing. Eventually social workers reported it and Washington police issued an Amber Alert, even though the case didn't meet all the criteria. "When we initially put the Amber Alert out we had no information that a child had been taken against her will," said DC Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier.

Once the missing person report was filed police went looking for Tatum and Relisha. Instead they found Tatum's wife beaten to death in an Oxin Hill, MD hotel room, and no sign of Tatum and the girl.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the location and return of Relisha Rudd. The FBI is offering a separate reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to Khalil Tatum's arrest. The Prince George's County, Maryland, Police Department is also offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Tatum's arrest and indictment.

The FBI asks if you see Tatum and Relisha, call 911 immediately. You can also contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
