JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police responded to a shooting Monday afternoon that put one in the hospital.

The incident occurred at the Blue Star Discount Food Store at 2610 N. Myrtle Avenue around 1:10 p.m., according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A 19-year-old victim, along with her 21-year-old boyfriend and her two children, aged 1-year-old and 2-years-old, were fired upon by unknown individuals in a car at Blue Star. According to JSO there was no provocation. The 19-year-old was struck in the hand by gunfire and drove herself to UF Health Jacksonville.

Witnesses told police they heard three gun shots come from the parking of the business across the street. Police are looking for a green Hyundai car with damage to the front and tinted windows.
