DANVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Sheriff's officials in middle Georgia say 134 people were arrested at a DUI checkpoint on a highway exit during St. Patrick's Day weekend.

The crackdown, named "Operation Wrong Exit" involved more than a dozen law enforcement agencies warning drivers of an upcoming DUI checkpoint. The Telegraph of Macon reportsthe lighted signs led some drivers to exit the highway at the next ramp, where officers were waiting.
Twiggs County Sheriff Darren Mitchum says some of the people who were arrested were caught in the same checkpoint operation last year, and nearly 20 people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
