JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 20-year-old man was convicted Wednesday in the 2012 death of Harold Lee Woodward, III, 23.

According to a State Attorney's press release, George Williams, IV broke into Woodward's Savannah Oaks apartment on Christmas Eve of 2012, stole items, including a gun and money, and beat and shot the victim multiple times.

Police arrested Williams later after investigators found his fingerprints in the victim's blood at the scene, according to the release.

Williams was found guilty on charges of murder in the first degree and armed burglary. He faces life in prison and is scheduled for sentencing the week of May 5.
