JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 23-year-old man faces life in prison after being convicted for a 2012 incident.

Robert Culver was convicted of armed robbery, armed burglary, possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis while armed, resisting an officer without violence and carrying a concealed firearm.

Culver approached a McDonalds drive-thru on Emerson Street and demanded money, according to a State Attorney's press release. He shot the window when the employee refused to open it, then grabbed money.

Officers arrested Culver later that evening and found marijuana, more than $700 and the handgun used in the armed robbery in the defendant's pockets, the release said.

Culver's sentencing is scheduled for the week of March 31.
