PALM BAY, Fla. — A Palm Bay High School teacher is accused of taking part in a child abuse case that involved forcing a young girl to undress in front of adult men while they forced her to consume alcohol.

According to police, Jason John Burchfield would visit a house in Satellite Beach where a girl, who is under the age of 14, was forced to undress in front of men and drink alcohol, including vodka, on at least three separate occasions.

When questioned, police said Burchfield confirmed the victim's allegations and said he was there.

Burchfield was charged with three felony counts of child abuse and three felony counts of failure to report child abuse. His bond was set at $36,000.

According to Brevard County Public Schools Spokeswoman Michelle Irwin, Burchfield has been placed on paid administrative leave pending a complete investigation into the allegations.

Burchfield is not allowed on school property, Irwin said.
