LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A Columbia County woman is behind bars after police allegedly found synthetic marijuana and prescription pills inside her home.
A search warrant was served at the home of 43-year-old Kimberley Hope Lane in the 600 block of NE Lake Drive Wednesday, according to a release from the Lake City Police Department.
Once inside the home, police allegedly found synthetic marijuana and prescription medications. Lane was arrested for obtaining illegal narcotics and reselling them and is currently being held in the Columbia County Detention Center without bond.
"Our message needs to be clear, if you buy and sell illegal drugs in our community, you will get caught. You will get arrested." Chief Argatha Gilmore added, "These investigations can take months and sometimes years to lead to a search warrant and an arrest, but we will remain resolute in this."
Lane is facing charges of opium or derivative selling, opium or derivative selling, marijuana possession, marijuana distribution, drug equipment possession and probation violation.
Further charges are pending in this case.
