JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 53-year-old man has pleaded guilty Wednesday in the hit-and-run crash that killed a 3-year-old girl.

Eric Clayton struck Teriyah Williams with his vehicle while she was playing outside a Johnson Avenue home in July 2013, according to a State Attorney press release.

Clayton was sentenced to eight years in prison, followed by two years of probation and 120 hours of community service. Clayton's driving privilege was also permanently revoked.
