Victims identified, suspect in Lava nightclub shooting still at large

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Three people were shot inside Lava nightclub early Monday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they received calls from off duty officers about the incident on University Boulevard around 1:36 a.m.

When police arrived they discovered that 24-year-old Kim Varner, Jr., 29-year-old Marion Beaufort and 20-year-old Siera Benton had been shot.

The victims were transported to UF Shands Jacksonville.

According to JSO, there were no witnesses at the scene during the shooting.

At this time police have not identified or captured the suspect.
