POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- After an undercover operation Polk County Sheriff's detectives uncovered a marijuana grow house in Poinciana and arrested four people on various charges, according to a PCSO report.

Detectives served a search warrant to a home at 476 Rio Grande Court Tuesday. They found five adults and two kids in the house. Hector Diaz, 38, was identified as the homeowner and the father of both kids.

On the second floor detectives found two bedrooms used to cultivate marijuana. Polk detectives seized and destroyed 15 pounds of the harvested marijuana and some plant stalks.

Detectives also found 21 electric ballasts, 15 high-intensity bulbs, 12 light hoods, pots, fertilizers and illegally diverted electricity.

They arrested Diaz, Francisco Perez, 49, Daniel Rodriguez, 40, and Luis Gonzalez-Lopez, 56, on charges of cultivation and trafficking of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia among other charges.

Department of Children and Families took custody of the children.
