ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The man who confessed to killing two people in Orange County in 2003 was convicted of murder on Tuesday.
Joseph Modeste told investigators he gunned down tenants Arthur and Betty Williams over rent money.
Investigators said a detective failed to tell Joseph Modeste about his Miranda rights, and a judge ordered his release from jail in 2009.
The case went all the way up to the Florida Supreme Court.
The jury found him guilty of two counts of murder.
