ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Twin brothers will face a judge on Tuesday after being arrested in connection to a deadly shooting outside the Best Buy on State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs on Monday afternoon.
One person was shot and killed outside the Best Buy on State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs on Monday afternoon, and two people have been taken into custody.
Manuel Rodriguez and Christopher Rodriguez, both 19, are accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Tevin Demetrius Davis, who was walking on the sidewalk, around 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
According to officials, the brothers fired multiple shots across S.R. 436.
The men were taken into custody at State Road 434 and Central Florida Parkway, in front of South Seminole Hospital.
Police said it's lucky no one else got hurt in the crowded parking lot.
"They were firing across 436, and those bullets were stray bullets," said Robert Pelton, Altamonte Springs police spokesman.
Police said they don't believe the shooting was a random act of violence, but are not sure what prompted the attack.
The twin brothers were taken to the Seminole County Jail and charged with first-degree premeditated murder. They will make their first appearance at 1:30 p.m.
State Road 436 was closed both ways for hours during the investigation near the intersection causing heavy delays in the area.
Crime scene tape surrounded the Best Buy parking lot, and police were inspecting a white van where a bullet hole was located, according to WESH 2's Matt Grant. That van was eventually removed from the parking lot and taken into evidence.
