JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A mother is charged with murder after she admitted to investigators Friday that she shook her three-month-old son and struck his head on his crib in September. He died two days later.

Stephanie Schoonover, 23, was arrested Friday after the Medical Examiner's Office ruled her son Logan Hancock's Sept. 8 death a homicide by blunt force injuries, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Schoonover told investigators she was upset that Logan's father made her leave her mother's house and tend to children while he went out, JSO wrote in a post on its Facebook page.

After shaking Logan and striking his head, Schoonover told investigators she laid him down in his crib "real quick." Thirty minutes later, she checked on Logan and found him unresponsive and called 911.

Schoonover is listed as not eligible for bond and her next court date is scheduled for Feb. 10 at 9 a.m., according to the JSO Inmate Search.
