JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Over 6 days, Habijax and 1000 volunteers hope to build 25 homes for families in Jacksonville and renovate 25 others. It's part of the 2014 Home Builders Blitz.

"It's the best opportunity that I've had in my life," said Amatullah Attar. She's one of the soon to be new homeowners.

While Attar helps to build one house, another group of volunteers is working to build her house. It's a process that started Monday all across the city.

"It's just overwhelming," Attar said.

The project is scheduled to end Saturday, June 14. Though Attar says building 25 homes and renovating 25 others is ambitious, she said she can't wait to walk into her new home for the first time.

"I'm gonna be so thankful to the Lord and so blessed," she said.
