Pasco County, Florida -- Deputies have arrested a 14-year-old girl after she purposely set her home on fire while her mother and brother were sleeping inside.

The fire occurred early on Thursday morning at a home on Hermitage Lane in Port Richey. When fire rescue arrived on scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

The two people inside, a woman and her 9-year-old son, heard the smoke alarm and got out in time. However, the other resident of the home, a 14-year-old girl, was unaccounted for. She was not found in the home but eventually found around the area and taken into custody.

During the investigation the girl admitted to using the websites Creepypasta.com andSoulEater.com, which are associated with The Slender Man. At this time, investigators have no evidence to believe that she set the home on fire because of the violence found on these websites, but it is a concern.

Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco and detectives in the major crimes and cyber crimes units will be holding a press conference to discuss the case as well as the cyber element and why parents should be aware of The Slender Man, CreepyPasta and SoulEater websites.
