Laura Caso is excited to be back in the Sunshine state. Her love for Florida grew during her college years at the University of Miami and she says you can't beat this warm weather. Laura joined the First Coast News team as morning weekend anchor and reporter in December 2013. She comes from WENY-HD News, where she anchored the morning news for Good Morning Twin Tiers in Elmira, New York. During her time in Elmira, she hit the ground running- sometimes, literally. She even picked up a few Associated Press Awards along the way, for Best Interview and Best Enterprise reporting.

A Boston native, Laura's passion for journalism began at young age when she began writing children stories. In the fifth grade Laura's book, "Chicken Pox Explosion" was published. The day she walked into Border's Books for her first book signing was one of her proudest moments. She continues to read to children throughout the Northeast and whether it be reading hard news copy or reading her children's book, she thrives in telling a good story. Laura travels to Europe every summer and enjoys speaking various languages, especially Italian and Spanish. When she is not in the studio or reporting on a story, you will find Laura exploring the beautiful pockets of Jacksonville. She enjoys spending time with her large Italian family and friends, singing, traveling, and spinning.
