Mike has been working in television news in his hometown of Jacksonville for 36 years, the last 12 at First Coast News, one of the few gray-haired folks in the business.

Mike is a multi-media journalist-reporter who also handles the assignment desk on the weekend.

Mike began as a reporter/photographer at WJKS-TV in 1976 where he worked for 20 years as a reporter, sports producer and sports anchor. He then became night assignment desk editor at WJXT for almost five years, before coming to First Coast News as an assignment editor.

Mike began reporting for First Coast News four years ago. Mike is a 1973 graduate of Forrest High School in Jacksonville and a 1976 graduate of Florida State University.

Mike loves most all sports, is an FSU football season ticket holder, and an avid golfer and reader.

Mike is married to Teresa, a longtime teacher, who is now retired. He has a son and daughter who are also teachers.
