JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- $2.8 million.

That's how much money visitors brought to town for this year's Jacksonville Jazz Festival.

Research funded by Visit Jacksonville and conducted by UNF found that a third of the festival's 20,000 attendees came from out of town. That's about 5800 people.

The research says they spent an average of $149 a day at local restaurants, and on lodging and other expenses during the event.
