COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A Lake City woman is in serious condition after her car flipped several times before it crashed late Saturday night.
Detra Williams, 31, is at Shands UF at Gainesville after surviving the single car crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Williams was driving a Chevrolet Avalanche west on SR-100 near Lake City around 11:30 p.m.
Williams veered onto the right shoulder of the highway and reacted by pulling the steering wheel too hard to the left, according to FHP.
The over-steering caused the truck to flip multiple times.
Williams was Life Flighted to Shands and remains in serious condition.
According to FHP, Williams was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
