SPOKANE, Wash. - The damage was minimal in a car crash in early January but the shock value was not.
Tabitha Ormaechea was stopped at a red light when she felt a bump as another car hit her tire.
"When I looked up, there was no one in the car, just a little dog up on the steering wheel peeking over looking at me," said Ormaechea.
"I was shocked, I didn't know if I was crazy, or if this little dog had taken a joy ride," said Ormaechea.
That is exactly what happened.
Jason Martinez said he was inside a store for a few minutes when someone ran in and asked if anyone had a gold car. He did, and his dog Toby was in the vehicle.
"He must have knocked it out of gear and the car rolled out," said Martinez.
No one was hurt and the damage was minimal. Martinez said Toby's license has been revoked.
