INTERLACHEN, Fla. -- Phillip Henderson, 78, suffered from severe lacerations, abrasions and contusions after two suspects entered his home early Sunday morning during a home invasion robbery.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened in the 100 block of Sherman Drive Circle when Michael James Crum, 19, and Adam Richard Hale, 23, forced their way into Henderson's home.

The suspects allegedly hit Henderson repeatedly with a stick or pipe of some type and took less than $20 and the keys to Henderson's 1997 Lincoln.

Both suspects left the home in the Lincoln, which police were able to recover approximately 3-miles from Henderson's home.

Both suspects now have active felonies for charges including attempted 1st degree murder, home invasion robbery and grand theft.

Sheriff Jeff Hardy is asking for help from the community in locating these subjects. Anyone with any information regarding either Michael Crum or Richard Hale is encouraged to please contact Detective David Sanders at 386-329-0801.
