COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. - Two arrests were made during a methamphetamine lab investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office detectives Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives with the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force discovered the lab during an investigation of a residence in the 1200 block of NW Ashley Street in Lake City at about 2:30 p.m. The hazardous meth lab material was dismantled and removed from a shed in the backyard by the Drug Task Force while the Lake City Fire Department and Lifeguard ambulance personnel assisted.

Ashley Nicole Tanner, 23, and Nicholas Hampton Cason, 32, were charged with manufacture of methamphetamine. According to a CCSO press release, the investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending at this time.
