JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Florida State University fans are still rejoicing after winning the Bowl Championship Series title game early Tuesday and gear is flying off store shelves.
Twenty minutes after the Seminoles won, Jacksonville fans stood in freezing cold temperatures to show it off.
"I got to be the first," said an FSU fan.
Hundreds of fans lined up outside of Academy Sports to be the first ones to buy T-shirts, caps and any memorabilia you can think of that says the Seminoles are national champions.
"A little banner for the room," said DJ Davis.
For many of the younger fans this is the first time they see FSU win a championship; the last time was 1999.
"I'm happy to see the championship because you know I was a little baby when they first had the last one so," said Davis.

For alumni, it was a night to celebrate their alma mater.
"It was stressful and exciting and I think during the fourth quarter nobody was sitting anymore," said Samantha Tanner, FSU fan.
Tanner attended a Downtown watch party away from her boyfriend, a die-hard Auburn fan.
"We said goodbye in the morning and we didn't talk the day of," said Tanner.
"I came out here to get some more swag," said Tanner.
Academy Sports opened at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to let fans get their championship gear right after the game. Other sports stores in the area expect to have their championship gear by Tuesday afternoon.
