RAINBOW LAKES, Fla. - A domestic violence investigation is underway after a woman and her estranged husband were found dead inside a Marion County home, authorities said.

The bodies were found in a home in the Rainbow Lakes area on Sunday.

A friend of the family became concerned after he did not hear from them overnight. When he went to the home to check on them, he found the couple's bodies.

Investigators say 32-year-old Latalia Robinson and her estranged husband, 31-year-old Dean Hamilton, both died from a gunshot wound.

According to her Facebook page, Robinson started working as a science teacher at Westport High School this year.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Bureau is looking into the case.

Hamilton worked at Cheney Brothers, a food service distributor.
