If you are scared being eaten by an alligator, you are not alone. It turns out other other alligators may share your fear.
According to an article in the Gainesville Sun, a place that knows a thing or two about gators, alligators in nearby Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in Micanopyare unusually large possibly because of cannibalism.
Biologist theorize that a drought that hit the area two years ago forced larger gators to feed on smaller ones.
The good news for gators, and possibly bad news for everyone else, the drought is over and the gators of the La Chua Trail are bigger than ever.
