BREVARD, Fla. -- A Brevard County man accused of molesting a child disappeared before his trial Monday.
William Clark, 82, was supposed to be in a Brevard County courtroom Monday, but he never showed up. The judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
The victim, who was 11-years-old at the time of the attack, and her family have been waiting two years to see Clark go to jail, they said.
The victim's mother didn't want her name released or her face shown, but agreed to speak with WESH 2's Travell Eiland in the above video.
"She's upset, she angry, she'd like to bend him into a pretzel," the mother said of her daughter.
The mother thinks Clark is on the run and trying to avoid standing trial.
"He's been playing games with this for two years. He tried incompetence defense, he had to go get a prostate operation," she said.
According to the 2011 arrest report, the girl told investigators Clark had come to visit the family in his pickup truck.
Investigators said when she went out to his camper "to look at the stars, the defendant lied down beside her." He then allegedly molested her.
"Bring yourself back here and face justice like a man," the mother said. "It's time to come end this nightmare."
