The wild ride in the postseason continues for the Clay High School football team. The Blue Devils won another nail biter on Friday night as they defeated St. Pete Lakewood 40-38.

With the win, the Blue Devils advance to the Class 5A State Championship Game where they will playPlantation American Heritage on Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Elsewhere in the FHSAA playoffs, Bartram Trail loses a heartbreaker as the Bears fall to Seffner Armwood 35-28 in triple overtime.

In Georgia, Charlton County squeaks by Irwin County 34-33. The Indians will play Marion County for the Class A state championship on Saturday, December 14th in the Georgia Dome.
