FOLKSON, Ga. -- It is Wednesdayso that means it is time for our Teacher of the Week!

This week we are spotlighting kindergarten teacher Pamela Nixon at FolkstonElementary School.

This is her second year teaching,she said she loves teaching kindergartners because they love to learn andalways make her laugh. Mrs. Nixon works hard to keep her lessons activeand creative to keep her students attention.

Her nominator said she is a greatteacher because she makes learning fun and cares about each and every student!

"It is not just thestudents, parents send their children to you for 6 to 7 hours a dayand wehave to make sure we are taking care of them. Not just teaching them, but takingcare of them, nourishing them, making sure they are growing. That is reallyimportant, especially on the elementary level," says Mrs. Nixon.

Her advice to new teachers is tofind a mentor at the school to learn and get ideas from.
