PALATKA, Fla. -- Two men are in jail after allegedly breaking into a home by removing a screen from a window.
According to a release from the Palatka Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 400 block of South 17th Street after getting a call that two people were breaking in.
Upon arrival, police saw 20-year-old Joshua Sanders attempting to leave the house through the front door. They then found 22-year-old Jonathan Elgin in the house.
Elgin and Sanders were arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Burglary of a Dwelling. They are both being held in the Putnam County Jail.
According to online jail records, Elgin is being held on a $16,016 total bond and Sanders is being held on a $8,008 total bond.
